Mobile Applications - Personal icons

Question

Posted

I've added some personal icons to my HC2 for some rooms and some devices. On the web interface, everything is ok, but on my iPhone and iPad I don't see the rooms and devices with a personal icon.

Do you have the same problem ? (latest applications and firmware)

That's strange, over here it works. I have it checked in on a device and on a scene; both work. Did you shut down your apps (double press home and swipe the app window up) before you retried?

xblanc, if you want to use personal icons on your mobile devices you should first log in to your HC2 using local network and then they will be availabe via remote acces.

I am using HCL - all my personal icons I have uploaded in my HCL (local network) are not visible via remote access (including Apple and Android devices)!

Any idea how to make them visible outside my own local network?

Ulf100, have you logged locally first with your mobile devices?

Thanks but maybe a stupid question: how do I connect with my smartphone locally via the Fibaro app?

Ulf100, you must be in the same local network - your app will show you "Local access" when launching. Only in such case your app will download custom icons from controller, and from now on you will see them in remote access as well.

Thanks this seems to work with Android devices. However, my iPad still does not show any own icons even though it's connected to my local network. However, I fear the access is still made via the Fibaro server and not directly. What next tomdo?

Ulf100, please make sure the connection is local. You can remove your controller and add it again, check if icon next to controller shows remote or local connection.

What do you mean with 'remove you controller'? Do you mean the Fibaro App from the iPad?
