How to setup HC2/VirtualDevic with FI9805W for advanced use?

Ritsjert

Question

How to setup Foscam with FI9805W for advanced use?

Since a couple of weeks I have 3 IP Camera’s connected to HC2.

With the ‘interface for dummies’ I managed to set all up and use the simple fucntions like access to pictures and sent pictures triggered by events or manually. With Synoloy Surveilance Station camera’s are setup in a way that video’s are captured in case ov movementalarm.

Now it is time for the next steps, my next goal is:

Turn Movement alarm ON/OFF

I read a solution for this in

Please login or register to see this link.

but…does not work with me. Looks like this works differently in version 3.580? also the CGI for foscam camera’s is updated… sounds familiar? Someone some sample setup/code available?

Use Movement alarm from camera to trigger lights on in that area in the garden

These LED-Lights are separately connected to a Fibaro Relay Switch. That was the easy part… There’s only one missing link… how to read the ‘alarm property’ from the camera, store it in a variable to be able to use this variable value in different Scene’s?

ps. I am aware that using camera for motion detection is not the best option (better to use IR Beam)....
