I use Fibaro Universal sensor as a switch (parameter 3 and 4 = momentary input). Both inputs are connected directly to a switch. S1 input of Fibaro Universal sensor is associated with a Fibaro Dimmer. But I can only switch on or off a dimmable lamp. The double click and holding doesn't do any effect

At the same time, on Fibaro Dimmer it works differently. If I associate S2 on Fibaro Dimmer with any other dimmable device (QEES dimmable lamp in my case), everything works fine. Double click sets 100%, holding dims the load.

Is it a bug or a feature?

P.S.

- It seems like in order to have a dimmer behaviour I have to implement LUA scene and process all events manually...

- Scene activation functionality in universal sensor works as a charm by the way.

Hello ivan.ruban, Unfortunately i don't have an answer to your question but i am curious how the wiring diagram looks like of the universal sensor with the switch. Is it a normal wallswitch?

how the wiring diagram looks like of the universal sensor with the switch

It is very easy - you need to connect a switch pad between ground and input pins of UniSensor. It is the same case as with the bell push button (see Diagram 5 in manual

). So for a switch with 2 pads - it is the same as you have 2 bell push buttons. The diagram thus is below:

Yes. You can use both momentary and regular (toggle) switches. It can be configured in parameters 3 and 4 of uni-sensor

What I cannot understand why there is no way to select a type "switch" in universal sensor. Instead I have to use it as "Motion sensor" while it is not its role. If Fibaro has a bell push in manual they must have at least a type "switch". So it should behave as switch in association and have a correct icon in HC2. Of course I don't expect on-off buttons since hardware of uni sensor does not support that (unfortunately), but otherwise Fibaro , please add this support if you have a bell push in manual. :!:

If you plan to use uni with switch, I recommend not to use association. Uni remember state (on or off). In order to switch a state of the load to an opposite I use a simple LUA script instead:

    Good luck! :-)
