3 DC powered 12v 1a each nothing but trouble... Intermittent beeping all through the night...

Battery powered and all is perfect up to now!

There goes my idea of using them to strengthen my mesh!

I have one on test and it worked faultlessly until this upgrade. Always on 12V power.

Then I upgraded and now it has the same issues as yours and does not report temperature change.

drop the 12v and its flawless! i have 3 connected still even now and only 10 mins ago the 12v powered one beep beep beep red led!

being told by Fibaro it is a faulty unit and to send it back lol what ALL THREE are faulty?

so you can clarify that the issue started on 3.583? if so that would be a great starting point for them to reverse the z-wave engine changes!

in fact! robmac... sorry but it is not related to 3.583 just thought about it!!!!

i reset both the hc2 box and the smoke sensors and before i even installed anything on the box or included the sensor it was still beeping on 12v!

have you tried a remove and a full reset

moved forward a bit. Remove and hard reset hold - yellow - press .

    add

    1) temperature is now reporting in status but not event panel (save logs to event panel is checked)

    2) ignore temperature compensation parameter param 88 has no effect.. I am sure it used to work.

something odd went on with upgrade.

I'm convinced going battery has resolved my issue I am monitoring it 24/7 by pushing any breach to my phone to ensure its perfectly acceptable to use as a smoke ADVISOR alongside my 9.99 b&q one

were your alarms ok on 12v before upgrade?

    deanrparry,

We did not tell you it is any kind of the fault unit. We suggested to send it to our diagnostic. If you will find any difficulties later please feel free to ask.

    Hi Krystian,

Post me a new one and I will return mine. I don't think it is the units though.

Robmac you get yours from Vesternet / Z-Wave Europe or other?

    Hi Krystian,

Post me a new one and I will return mine. I don't think it is the units though.

please note though that i had one not even connected to a network or included factory with main power and it beeped 1 sec + red led...

so are the psu adapters bad? i use them on ubs elsewhere without any problems...

Kristian, Is it just failing to get the network test response and it is triggering a full alarm?

robmac my network test passes everytime solid green light... is that your issue then?

robmac, nope range alarm is 1 beep by 30min (default) with magenta led (when HC2 will not answer)

Have sent PM with all I know.

I am not sure what issue is but I do know when it started.

May be multiple issues with devices and or HC2 Beta. This could either be inherent in the Beta or a symptom of irregularities during the upgrade or just a number of underlying issue that were crystallized by the upgrade.

The devices were working fine before but it could always be a coincidence that problems started with upgrade.

Hope the info in the PM helps you track it. I can't risk trying to repeat the issue as the residual now is lack of temperature report. I can live with that. The temperature alarm triggers if I change the threshold so

I am happy to help Beta test but please take my reports seriously. I have managed many IT developments and developers not believing what testers have seen is very common but very bad for quality.

    Note:

Mine have not breached ONCE since battery mode!

21hrs since last false alarm. Running on a good quality led constant current led transformer.

Don't believe I have issues with the Smoke Sensor. Just an upgrade glitch that corrupted something.
