Squeezebox Raspberry Pi

Evening all,

I'm trying to create a virtual device to control Spotify on my Squeezebox Server running on the mac. this is then being streamed to SqueezeLite hosted on the raspberry pi.

The streaming and control works fine from the main console and the iPhone app.

Id like to build this control into the HC2.

I can literally paste this into any browser and it will start playing on the RPi

I assumed that by pressing using GET and then the above link that when i press the button it would respond in the same way, but I'm obviously missing something with these virtual devices

please help ....

i like how when i now view this topic i can click on that link and my bedroom fills with the top 100 tracks playlist

I've had a look at the CSRF security on the squeezebox sever and it states that it is turned off. I've not looked at the CLI interface, nore do i have any idea as to what it is lol

GET commands have usually worked for me, i recently used it to command an arduino.

This works in a button for all cli commands. I am not a spotify user but try your URL in the cmd variable replacing yoururl
