The idea is to share the names of LED lamp models that are working stable with Fibaro dimmer. I think everybody is interested in fire safety in the house and doesn't want to get melted dimmers and other potential consequences.

If anybody used LED lamp with dimmer for a long time, please share the name of your lamp and the time you use it with us!

FIBARO, if you have such a list of compatible and tested LED lamps, please share it with us!!!

for my newbuild house I trialled my chosen bulbs and downlights for about 9 months

and am happy with megaman 6w gu10

Please login or register to see this link.

I have about 150 bulbs with about 45% in fibaro dimmers

they have been running for about 4 months after the trial

even with 12 bulbs you need a dimmer bypass, Not using the nuetral wire keeps it flikker free

I will also vote for the MEGAMAN LEDs (clearly marked as TRIAC dimmer compatible).

I think that MEGAMAN only one (well known) company that clear refer to that type control element will be compatible with respective light source.

Thank you guys. I also sent the email to fibaro support so will see what they answer regarding compatible lamps.

/emoticons/default_icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" />1) Do you use a default value for parameter 20 in Fibaro dimmer by the way?

Please login or register to see this image.

/emoticons/default_icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" />2) Is it all Megaman lamps that are compatible with Fibaro TRIAC dimmer? I haven't found any infromation regarding TRIAC at all actually, but I probably look in a wrong place. I have found the dimmer compatiblity list here:

/emoticons/default_icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" />3) So my question is for example - is this E27 lamp also compatible?:

Please login or register to see this link.

It says "100-10% dimming is capable when working with a leading edge dimmer" so it shoud be compatible with Fibaro which is leading edge. I just want to double check since two of my dimmers are already melted.

From my experience I will not recommend to use IKEA E27 dimmable lamps with Fibaro dimmer and bypass. The lamp will work fine for a couple of months and then dimmer and bypass will die one day. It happened with 2 of my 5 dimmers connected to IKEA lamps.

Thanks againg for help guys! I appreciate.

Well I don't have melted dimmers but only problems with the dimmingstate.

It needs to be almost 50% before the light goes on (and goes off when it's less).

    I can't set a light @25% for example

It only works with a cheap non-dimmable ledlamp, but the lamp itself dies within a month. Probably because it is not dimmable.

I saw in other topics something about dimmerversion, I'm not sure but I think I have very old dimmers

    I think this doc:

can be very interesting for many. Attention:

Rako RDT500 - Trailing Edge Dimmer Module

Rako RDL250 - Leading Edge Dimmer Module

Rako RDL500 - Leading Edge Dimmer Module

Rako RAK4T - Trailing Edge Dimmer Module

So, use og this doc is easy. Try to test LEDs (with Fibaro dimmer) that have the best compatibility with Rako RDL250/500 dimmers (marked as BLUE, DARK GREEN, LIGHT GREEN in the table for respective dimmers).

Thanks hkmod25, that is a perfect document!

In my particular case I am waiting for delivery of Megaman lamps (E27, E14, GU10) since spazpeker had a positive experience. They ("various models") are also marked as "very good" when work with leading edge dimmers (as Fibaro dimmer is).

FYI: No issues with Fibaro dimmer + Fibaro bypass + Megaman Lamps so far.

Been using Megaman Reflector PAR16/20 MM03903 for 2 years now, work perfectly.

I have another strange thing with Megaman GU10 mellow lights, when I have one bulb connected all works fine without any blinking or dimming problems.

But when I add a second bulb the lights start blinking almost immediately, if I remove one bulb during the blinking it stops immediately.

Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I have been playing around with parameter 20 but nothing seems to help, all is connected using a three wire connection including the dimmer bypass.

    Please advice
