Could it be possible to interact with HC2 scenes using VB6 code? SDK or some workaround?

You can use any language that has a library that can call the http interface and process json. I think a few people have written libraries that you can use with VB6.

What you need is libcurl for VB6 (can be downloaded for free from the official curl ressource) and then you need a library which can parse json. You can probably build something yourself if you are sufficiently hardcore - but it is probably easier to do it using a prebuilt module.

You use cURL to send data to the HC2 and you use the json parser to retrieve data from it.

Then you can just use the web API to interact with the HC2. It is quite easy and it works surprisingly well (if your network has good connection quality).

if you extend that by "?id=XX" where XX is the specific device ID you can get json from single components.

    Lode: From scratch, yes! But I have certain legacy VB application of mine in mind that could get some extra boost when connected to the HC2

    Yes, that might be the most convenient approach. Although I have no experience using .NET DLL from VB6 but that should be not impossible.
