LUA array how to add a value ?

Question

Posted

Hi there,

I am working on make some "good way" to handle my roller shutter with sun / external temperatures / whatever.

I have 4 roller shutter that are handled by FGS221 (see my Velux + IO Domcontrol hack), so I have almost no idea if they are openned or not.

Since I don't want to send every 10 minutes a roller up or roller down (solar powered so energy there is limited), I want to make an array with somewhat "cache" about the previous positions of shutter.

Current code extract is (not yet finished) :

Please login or register to see this code.

Now I want in the variable shutter_cache to add something like :

Please login or register to see this code.

What is the right LUA syntax to do that kind of work ?

Regards

kiwi, You can't use += the correct way for me is shutter_cache = shutter_cache + ... but if you want add value in your "array" you should use table.insert(shutter_cache, YOUR_VALUE)
