How to setup fire detection system

Does anybody know where to find a walkthrough on how to setup a fire detection system?

I just received my 3 smoke sensors and 2 CO detectors and am looking on how best set these up.

What would you like to achieve? Do you have any sirens installed or do you want to get notification on your phone etc...?

    - First of all I would like to ring them all at the same time if one of them goes into alarm. I assume the fibaro smoke sensors already do so, but the Vision Co detectors probably will not.

    - Switching some light will be the next step, to light some exit route. Maybe by scene or association.

    - Sending a txt or push to inform on fire would be greath.

Your fibaro smoke sensors do not push alarms to other detectors. This is quite a disappointment, but they can't as they are not constantly open for input (for battery saving).

So if you want several alarms, you have little choice but external sirenes.

My setup turns on all lights and flashes my bed side lamps for 15 seconds. Furthermore it activates an alarm siren. If you have connected doorlocks, you can set it up to unlock all doors to ease entrance for firemen or someone trying to save your dog

I'm creating my own siren using a pair of cheap speakers and a raspberry pi. The price will be lower than a z-wave unit and it will be able to give you all the different alarm tones you could possibly want - or even voice interaction welcoming you home or telling you that you forgot to close a window when leaving home... Once I have something working I will post a parts list and a how-to for setting it up. Price should come in under 60€.
