Activate Alarm by KeyFob

Hi,

as you can probably see I because of my many posts I am trying to configure fibaro for alarm use.

I don't get it how I can use my keyfob to activate alarm or a scene.

Btw. are there any manuals on how to set up alarms, programm scenes and so on?

Can anybody help.

I am in the same "cruzade" as you. I am trying to gather as much information as possible about alarm integration, but the information available is too scarce and dispersed. As far as I know, the only decent information is about the Satel Integra panel.

I wrote a post, without much results, to try to assemble a database with different models / methods of integration.

Do you have an alarm system connected to your FIBARO system? If you have done that already, maybe I can point you out on how to manage that using the keyfob.

Unfortunately I don't have an alarm system connected. I only work with the z-Wave sensors.

I have only just set this up today. I had a friend solder 4 wires onto the key fob ( because i'm not very good at it ), and they are connected to a 2x1.5 relay. 2 going to IN and one each to O1 and O2. Then you just use switch 1 for arming the key fob and switch 2 for disarming. I've housed it in a project box to keep it all neat. Power is supplied via a wall plug into Live and Neutral inputs on the relay.

A key fob means something like this:

You can use the keyfob to trigger a scene. With the scene, you should arm all sensors that you want to use with the alarm.

If you use the alarm panel, you will see that the alarm mode goes to "on" once the sensors have been armed.

thanks for the information. Maybe you can help with another issue (same contents):

I can use a scene to say "set device1 armed" and "if armed and breached turn on siren".

With one device everything is fine. But if I use a group of devices ALL of them need to be breached to send alarm.

Do you have an idea what I can do?

I guess you're trying to bypass the alarm panel then and do it entirely with scenes?

In that case you would have to do a check using or statements.

I made a start a couple of weeks back, but was too busy with work to finish it. By now I'm hoping Fibaro will finally improve the alarm panel a fair bit.
