Remote access to backup files

I am looking for a way to download and upload configuration files remotely. I am often managing my HC2 from a remote location, and if it gets stolen I would like to be able to replace it and upload the latest configuration file. Configuration on the rescue drive won't help me if the device gets stolen. I also don't have constant local access to it to be able to copy the usb drive at every configuration change.

Does anyone know how I can download the backup files remotely?

Is there a way to backup the HC2 to a remote location or to download to a laptop a backup that I can resotre in case of stolen/broken/burned device?

I have opened a case with the support.

In case of stolen device they say:

"In such case you should remove your devices from one main controller and then add it to the new one manually.

In order to remove device (clear the memory) you can also go to removing mode on the new HC2. 

In the other words, you do not need your old HC2 to the clear memory of a modules."

 

Isn't there a way to backup all the work I have done?

It take me 1 year to configure rooms, sections, parameters, scene, users,devices....

Anyone can help?

baran you are indeed correct! more marketing by Fibaro that is unfulfilled! They have promised cloud based backups! Let's see!

Fibaro Support gave us the answer - it is the correct current answer and has been from the beginning of time... Some of us have pointed out or experienced the short fall of this solution. Fibaro Marketing is obviously aware of this...

that's really bad. do you think that is at least possible to backup the USB key so that in case of stolen HC2 I can send the backup to Fibaro Support for a restore?
