I have a couple of fibaro dimmer i want to use for powering hue light on/off.

When i want to turn the lights of the lights starts to flicker.

Is there a way to use the fibaro dimmer for hue lights?

I am aware that i cant use the dim function. But i only want to turn the lights on/off and use the scène function.

In regular case to remove flickering I recommend:

1) To put a bypass in parallel with the LED lamp

2) To play with parameter 20

To disable dimming function you can set parameter 13 to "98%".

But in case of Phillips Hue it is a bit different. It is not just an ordinary dimmable LED bulb but a peice of smart electronics. No ideas how it will work with Phillips Hue bulb.

You can of course turn on/off the Phillips Hue from the software. Is my understanding right that your main idea is to use a local switch for controlling Phillips Hue bulb? And for that purpose you use Fibaro dimmer connected to pads of switch, right? If that is the case - I am also curious how to implement it in a right way.

If you have a neutral in your switch, you can probably connect N and L to your dimmer but do not connect a bulb cable to Fibaro dimmer. Instead you can connect your bulb cable to a Live cable. It will work, I am only not sure if dimmer will work without connection of load, with no-neutral connection definitely not.

As an alternative solution that will work (but requires batteries which I hate) - buy a ZWave-me wall controller and use it to trigger a scene.

Why not just remove the dimmer and control the light directly via a virtual device. I have four hue lights being controlled by HC2 through a virtual device.

I want to use the wallswitch to turn on/off the light. Guess i will use the scene function of the dimmer to control the hue lights (using a virutal device).

OK, my assumption about usage of local wall switch was correct.

But then you got a solution in my previous post: connect 2 cables together behind the switch (live cable and bulb cable), and replace your existing switch with battery operated zwave switch controller like this one

Yes, scene activation functionality is your friend in this case.

If you want to use an existing switch and no batteries, then I am also qurious to know your solution. I guess it will work with Fibaro dimmer. And with a fibaro bypass in parallel to bulb, bulb will most likely stop to flicker. But as soon as you switch off the lamp with Fibaro dimmer - no chance to switch it on from the software (the voltage is 0 on bulb when Fibaro dimmer is off).

But if you want to use Fibaro dimmer (and thus no batteris) and software control, as a workaround you can do this:

connect N and L to your dimmer but do not connect a bulb cable to Fibaro dimmer. Instead you can connect your bulb cable to a Live cable. It will work, I am only not sure if dimmer will work without connection of load

As I wrote you can do this if you have neutral cable. But even in this case, again I am not 100% sure if the dimmer will work without a load. But Fibaro can answer that.

rolinck, or set step on max value then you will have 2 situations (turn off and turn On on max)

A.Socha, it is basically the same as setting parameter 13 (min dim level) to 98%. Yes, it will work as well.

Hmm, I got the solution to this problem:

But as soon as you switch off the lamp with Fibaro dimmer - no chance to switch it on from the software (the voltage is 0 on bulb when Fibaro dimmer is off).

You need to make a virtual device. When you press any "on" (or any other lightning mode) button in this virtual device, it will first turn the Fibaro dimmer to "on" position, and just then switch your Phillips LED on (or any other lightning mode).
