Just received a US version of HC2 and trying to get it to work with any US z-wave devices. Has anyone had success getting it to work with Aeon, GE, or Evolve devices? I've upgraded to the Alpha in an effort to get them to detect, but nothing's found. Seems to only work with the Fibaro devices I ordered with it. I've seen some talk about having to leave my Vera on and controlling it to bridge between z-wave and HC2.

Thanks!

Check frequency on aeon labs device.

It is in the 900 MHz band like the rest of the US equipment. Unfortunately, the RF analyzers I have are only 2.4 and 5 GHz so I can't really tell which bands are out there. I thought the existing devices would at least show up as unknown, but if there's nothing, it almost appears a frequency mismatch.

    mmdonnelly,

Please check frequency of aeon device and check frequency on Fibaro device. You can paste it here.

All my existing equipment is 908.42 US spec z-wave (Aeon door sensor, Vera, dimmers, and outlets). I checked the RGBW's and door sensors I received with HC2 and they all appear to have US stickers and say they support 908.4, but my Vera is unable to detect them when trying to discover the ones that aren't paired with HC2.

The HC2 does not have any information on frequency other than an FCC compliant sticker on the bottom. I've also taken the effort to only run on controller at a time in case they stepped on each others' toes.

Thanks for the follow up and let me know if I need to open a case with support, but it appears the equipment I got is operating on a different frequency, no?

Are all the devices you have currently paired with your Vera? I suspect you need to reset/exclude them in order for them to be picked up by yuour HC2. OTherwise they don't pair with a new controller. Chek the manual on how to reset/exlude them from your current controller and then try to add them to your HC2 if that is the case.

No, I've reset them, excluded them, even shutoff the Vera. If the existing devices were the only ones not associating, I'd say something like that was going on, but I can't associate any new fibaro devices with the vera either.

Just a footnote on this, but finally got the devices included. It took multiple iterations of excluding devices, resetting the network, and either flipping the breakers or pulling power using the air gap. Thanks for all the input on this.
