Flood sensor scene creation

Question

Posted

Hi Forum,

We have bought a flood sensor and successfully configured on HC2.

Now we want to create some scenes with the flood sensor features,

Scene 1:- we have placed the flood sensor near washing machine to detect the flooding from washing machine. Now we want to create a scene with this scenario as, "If flood sensor detects flooding from washing machine then turn on the Living room Lights

How can we create a scene for the above scenario, what settings have to be set for the flood sensor to detect the flooding with and without wired strobe to trigger the scene.

Scene 2:- The flood sensor is connected with wired strobe and placed at the overflow point of overhead tank, when the wired strobe touches the water it should turn off the Water Pump connected to Fibaro Wall plug.

How can we create a scene for the above scenario

Does any one have solution for the above scenes.

Hello,

You should create a simple scene like this one in attachment. Analogically you can create a scene which will turn off the wall plug.

    Hello Ratajczak,

We have created the same scene and tested with the device on/off scene as described above, it is not working as expected.

    We tested as below,

1.Switched on the water pump manually and placed the flood sensor on the water surface, the flood sensor is making beep beep noise and it does not trigger the water pump off

    2. Unless and until we take off the sensor from the water surface it is not triggering the water pump scene.

    3. This method is also not consistent,

Can you tell us why it is happening like this.

The scene we created is attached

In your scene you are not turning on your pump, but turns in off. Please add after the then statement the pump turn on.

Have you selected in your wallplug that is should be always on? Then it cannot be turned off by the scene...

i have the same issue. 5 flood sensors in different areas and one wall-plug (which powers a normal-open electro-valve). i've createad a scene where any of the flood sensors status changes to "breached", then wall-plug gets on the ON status. tested couple of times, but still the wall-plug is not getting ON.

Just try by creating association with wallplug and flood sensor
