I just hooked up a 5m RGBW strip on an RGBW controller. Pretty cool how it works, but can't get it very bright using the manual settings. It's about half as bright doing 100% and 255 white and/or blue as opposed to creating a program with the same parameters. Is this by design to preview colors manually, then lock into a program that are brighter?

DISCLAIMER: I am running the Alpha 3.901.

Try making a block scene and put 100 in the green block where you turn on the leds.

Will not work... you need to use lua to control brightness not blocks as far as i know

No, you can use blocks to. In lua use setValue().

I'll give the lua option a shot and see what I come up with. It's just odd that the program option on the device has the same sliders and levels, yet is much, much brighter. I can create a program of just one color and it'll be at the desired lumen, but you just don't have the option to play with the brightness and color on the fly. Being fairly new to the system and on an alpha, I couldn't discern between a "feature" and a "bug" on this one.

    Cheers
