HC2 still causes devices to drain batteries fast

I am not doing much with HC2 just now as I know most of the small issues I have are with the HC2 firmware.

I suspect the battery drain is also a firmware issue but has anyone managed to configure their battery devices so they are not changing batteries every few months?

Any hints appreciated or I am going to have to buy shares in Duracell as I must be increasing their profit.

The only problem i have is with these Danfoss Valves....

i have to change batteries every 2 months or so......

christos, set bigger wake up notification it may help you a bit with battery

Same here + Horstman + Everspring

If I increase the wake any further they will be next to useless.

robmac, we can't do nothing more

- if wakeup is bigger then device should work longer on a battery

- if we talk with battery device do that in short time (we was started using mutlicommand for that - 1 frame got many commands for device if he support that class)

I have been using Homeseer, Mcontrol, Vera and other controllers before switching to Fibaro HC2 last february. The battery problem is the same with all of them and the reason is in the design of the modules, not in Fibaro.

I use rechargeable batteries for most devices and lithium for some like the most important ones. On lithium batteries a door/window sensor will last 6 months or more with some 30 to 100 changes of status per day. I don't think I can complain about that performance.

I noticed when devices are on the boundary of you're Z-Wave reach they're draining a lot faster. Adding more devices with routing-capability can help.
