Hi All,

I have had reason to remove one of my door sensors to fit a fly screen, and will have to do another soon. Are the sticky pads available as spare parts, or is it best just to find some double sided tape and use the sensor as a template, as I have done on the one already moved?

It wasn't a problem to do, just takes some time to do the cut-out etc. so would be easier if they are available as a spare part item.

Many thanks.

Ray

Ok I'm guessing after 661 views and not one reply that'll be a no then.

Fibaro guys I would suggest 2 things:

1. consumables such as pre-cut tapes etc. should be available as parts.

2. When customers who spend a lot of money on your products ask a simple question that clearly has a simple no as an answer, you take 2 seconds of your clearly valuable time to answer that question.

Many thanks anyway.

Dear Sir,

Sorry about the late response. Thank you for your suggestion about pre-cut double side tapes as spare parts. Also a template might be a good solution.

Can't you use just some double sided tape ?

Anyone with 3d printer around to print a weatherproof box for door/motion sensor?

@Lode - yes I can and you'll see from my post I did use double sided tape. However, if you happen to look at the types available, with different thicknesses, glues, and applications, you'll see its not as straight forward as it first seems. I would prefer if I was able to replace original with original to ensure the switch works correctly and doesn't fall off.

It was only a question/suggestion for Fibaro that they may be considered consumables and available to purchase as a spare part (perhaps in packs of 5 or 10). As it seems this isn't yet the case, I have replaced the other one with new tape having made myself a small template from the lid of a Chinese take-away container
