J Nowacki,

I thought I had set all that was in previous bugzilla reports but I will look at what you said and email support if necessary.

Another one of my Eye Sensors turned to temperature today.....it's only been installed since last week:( That and my hall eye sensor still isn't sending any information to events:(

Has anyone tried changing the json to fix this? It is quite a bit of a hack, but a fix could be to copy the entire json for a device into an editor, change the sensortype back to "motion_sensor" and then place it in the correct by means of an http PUT command. This will replace the faulty json with one with the correct value.

I haven't seen any issues like this, despite having a bunch of motion detectors and other devices, so I don't feel like doing it on my own system (there is a slight chance of corrupting the JSON which means you need to remove the device and readd, meaning new ID meaning changing scenes). But if anyone are feeling brave enough to try this to see if it resolves the issue but lacks the skills to do it, I'd be happy to explain how it can be done (it is not that difficult).

I know it is not a permanent fix, but it does provide a solution that doesn't require removing and then readding the devices.

As I said, all the methods I mentioned above are just temporary fixes and will not stop this error to occur. But it is already repaired in the alpha version and will be corrected in next stable firmware. However you can decrease frequency of it by implementing settings i gave you.
