Voice Announcements with Fibaro

What I wish to achieve:

Every time someone walks through the door, with the help of door sensor, announce a message saying "Good Evening, Welcome to the Smart Office".

With a computer running OSX in your network this can easily be achieved with the "say" command.

Another option seems to be sonos. I have no experience with this but I think there's fully working examples posten on the forums.

Cheapest option - Raspberry PI + any speaker, some basic CGI script to play...

RPi is a neat solution (i use multiple ones myself) but it's only the cheapest if he does not already own a osx computer or sonos device

I will soon post a tutorial on how to use voice announcements with use of the native Notification panel with your sonos system. (not all my own code, but it is a tutorial on how to use the code and I will reference the people ofcourse

Hi, just want to let you know that this can also be accomplished with an INT-VMG from Satel if you have an Satel Integra system Connected to your Homecenter This way you can play predefined sounds from an loudspeaker.

Oke that could work nicely if you have Satel installed, but if you already have Sonos in your house, you can use it for free. and you don't have to record anything. the scripts use google translate's voice.
