Universal Sensor as door sensor for garage door

Hello everybody,

this is my first topic in this forum. I come from Germany and i hope you can understand my english!

I have 2 garages with full metal body. Therefoe i cant use a door sensor due to bad receive. Now i use a FIBARO universal sensor with a door switch from a car to monitore if the door is closed.

Why can i this not use as a sensor in a scene? For exemple, that the doors are are closed if they open at late evening.

You could try this, its a garage door sensor with put for door / window sensor that can be housed in IP 66 rated box.

I have tryed this with a VISION (VIS_ZD2102) door sensor, mounting outside from the garage body and using the external contacts. but its not working.

The signal from UBS can trigger the scenes. Could you please describe in details what function you would like to accomplish?

Sorry for my late answer, i has take the universal sensor 2 meters away from the metalbody. everything is now working fine! now i want create a scene, that the doors automatically closed if it is 11:00 PM or later. how can i make this?

rk-design, do you mean just a scene code or are looking for the hardware solution as well?
