Hi,

I have 2 Fibaro Smoke Sensors included in my HC2.

The devices don't show the battery level like e.g. Door or Motion Sensors do.

Can I somehow switch that on?

Second Question: How can i access detailed information in HC2 that shows e.g. smoke levels over a certain period?

Thanks,

kerthi

Question 1: there is no battery indicator for the smoke sensors for some strange reason. HC2 should however notify you when the battery is about to be drained. If you really want to know the battery level you can make a virtual device which can tell you the battery level by putting this code into the main loop:

Please login or register to see this code.

This will show the battery level in the bottom line of the virtual device and will update the value once an hour. So you'd need one device pr smoke sensor.

Another way could be to just create one virtual device with all the smoke sensors and then use labels for the values. But then you have to open the virtual device to see the battery level.

Question 2: well I think you are looking for the elusive blackbox function where you were supposed to be able to see the smoke level in a room that Fibaro was flaunting. Well, The answer (bitter as it is) that fibaro has oversold their product... If you ask them, the answer will be "available in hc2 v4.0" so it awaits a firmware version that no one knows when will be released, and the best answer to when is probably no time soon. To be brutally honest, I don't get why no one has filed a false advertising suit against them, because a lot of features they advitise their products with is far from the truth or something that might materialize at some point. I think they have forgotten that Poland is now part of the EU and that false advertising IS a crime in the EU.

But hey, it's still the nicest z-wave products on the market. They just need to get their marketing department in check and not promise features they don't have (yet).
