Jus to tease everyone Fibaro has shown their CO sensor in the video of the motion sensor. It has the same form factor as the smoke sensor but will contain a CO module.

Seen on the video at 2:02 or just click the link

Well noted!

However a CO-sensor has to be placed lower, and not high like a smoke sensor

CO-gas is heavy so it spreads low over the floor.

"CO-gas is heavy so it spreads low over the floor."

Which is completely false claiming for normal temperatures. We already discussed that on this forum.

"With similar density or miscible gases, such as CO or CO2, sensors should be mounted about head high – say 1.5m."

"Where Should I Place a Carbon Monoxide Detector?

Because carbon monoxide is slightly lighter than air and also because it may be found with warm, rising air, detectors should be placed on a wall about 5 feet above the floor. The detector may be placed on the ceiling. Do not place the detector right next to or over a fireplace or flame-producing appliance. Keep the detector out of the way of pets and children. Each floor needs a separate detector. If you are getting a single carbon monoxide detector, place it near the sleeping area and make certain the alarm is loud enough to wake you up."

In the video at 2:16 The motion sensor show there has been no motion for 15min and then give the option to run a scene.

Does any body know how to do this? Where or when will this functionality be available?

You should be able to call fibaro:getValue(XX, "lastBreached") which will give you the system time of last breach. I have posted a code in one of the cery recent topics on the power users page... But it seems as if there is something wrong with the code for some users.

You can´t create dialogs like that. That is just marketing magic that doesn't exist in the real world.

If it as bad as their smoke detector, I'll pass. It didn't detect any smoke when I tested it and during the night it would beep regularly. Will it be CE certified?

    Posted

how did you test your smoke detector ?

I also have a smoke detector that beebs in night or suddenly goes in alarm.

If you have new version v4x then look at history,

My defect one showed some peeks with now reason. I started a RMA procedure to replace this one.

    Other smoke detector working fine.

I put in the battery and left it on the table. It started beeping every now and then. I returned it after reading that multiple people experienced the same issues.

With 'CO Sensor' support added to the Fibaro apps on Android and iOS late 2016, when is the product going to hit the markets?

Going to hit 2 years mark since the first teaser in marketing video...

I talked some time ago with people from Fibaro (I will not mention with whom exactly) and they said it was under certification process at the time. So i think 1st quater of 2017 could be real.
