Flickering when streetlights come on

markwittens

Question

When the streetlights come on all lights on a fibaro dimmer will start to flicker for a few minutes. I read happens to some dimmers because of the signals sent over the power grid to turn on the streetlights. This also happens at around 11 in the evening when another signal is sent to turn to night rate. It happens to all types of lamps, not only LED. Is there anything I can do about this?

Typical Dutch problem.

I have recorded this problem in the past and played lot with the different option..no success.

Also Duwi and Everspring dimmer show same problem..

Problem is only is some regions.

  • I was afraid of that... I've been looking into this and this are the options I found so far:

    - Replacing the dimmers with dimmers from another brands with the same features that don't have this problem (do these exist?)

    - Installing a netfilter (about 2000 euro's apparently, which is way to expensive)

    - Fibaro fixes their dimmers (not likely)

    - Another option I haven't come across...? Maybe a better affordable filter?

Does anyone know about Z-Wave dimmers that don't have this problem, but do have the options the Fibaro dimmers have (support for 2 buttons, scenes with double/ triple click etc)?
