Hi, i'm wondering if this could give a range extension in another part of the house where there's no z-wave coverage but there is wifi or LAN.

Home Security Gateway

Home control with Z-Wave for use with iControl OpenHome™ Connect Systems

The NETGEAR Home Security Gateway is an innovative services gateway providing connectivity to security systems, WiFi devices (including cameras and touch panels) and Z-Wave devices (including sensors, lighting controls, thermostats, door locks, etc.).

Any news, anyone?

Yep, i was just looking for a "dumb" cheaper secondary controller.

HCL is probably overpowered for my needs on a remote location without z-wave rage but in the same LAN. I'll give a try with a used Vera Lite.

Why not just position a range extender or i.e. A fibaro plug in the "dead" spot? It will act as a relay station and route all the data between the desd zone and your controller.

I need to manage a garage and I cannot plug extenders in-bewteen.

Anyway I just switched to a HClite instead of Vera Lite whici will need a http remote control instead of a transparent slave given by a HClite.
