HC Lite, VirtualDevice, "on AND off" button

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I'm a new HC Lite user and I use a virtualdevice for manage a wifi led controller via http strings. My goal is to use a single button on virtualdevice for open and close led strip (ex: first time I press button send "1", second time I press same button send "0" etc etc).

There's a way to do that?

Thanks

HCL does not support LUA. Without it it is impossible to create such a button.

    Ok, no "on/off" button....

Maybe I can try create just an "off" button and send multiple strings with other buttons, like "turn on, white", "turn on, green" so I will not need "ON" button anymore

Is it possible with HC Lite send UDP packets too? Or just TCP?

    Thanks for reply!

Unfortunately HCL does not suport UDP either.

Maybe you should consider change to HC2, which offers more advanced options and supports LUA.

    ***EDIT***

I fixed buttons for led strip. Now I have an "OFF" button and all other color button have an ON string sent before color code so I don't need ON button anymore.

I'm happy like this but I missed one thing....Why just one "main" button can be used? Why not 2? I know that virtualdevices can be used for a lot of stuff but lights have ON and OFF, shutters have UP and DOWN, dimmers have + and - for dimming...why Fibaro chosed to put just one main? It's...not logic

Could you please export your virtual device. I am trying to switch off my tv but have no idea how to do it.
