I had small task to find CO sensor which is compatible with Fibaro. The sensor will be installed to our customers garage for safety purposes (if car engine stays running, then garage door opens and ventilation starts to pump out CO gas from room).

As I didnt find good solution for this, I made my own z-wave sensor. Actually this is very simple, but meaning to make this threar is to show rookies that with Fibaro almost everything is possible and often solutions are easier than you expect.

I purchased Satel CO sensor, which costs about 45€ added Fibaro FGBS universal sensor and DS18B20 sensor. This way I have tamper alarm, CO alarm and extra - temperature sensor inside CO sensor.

This will be working with 12V DC power and I will associate it with Fibaro relay which turns on ventilation (in case of HC2 is down for maintenance etc).

Overall cost for CO sensor is about 80€ but I think this is very good and safe solution at the moment!
