Something gone wrong with Fibaro 'Eye' Motion Sensor?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Came in today and noticed something very odd. One of my Eye motion sensors has 'disappeared' over night. It was there last night, now it's not.

I can see a master and two children in devices i.e. what should be the motion sensor, then the lux sensor and the temp sensor are showing as usual.

Instead of seeing the 'eye' icon as the master device all I can see is a funny little 'x' in the top lhs of the device and it's reading 0degrees c as a temperature reading....which also is odd as this is motion not temp?! Also the motion detection symbol (man with few 'waves') has gone from the room overview also (i.e. its greyed out).

Ive restarted the HC2 and it's still doing it....yet all the other Eye's are showing as normal.

What's going on? Anyone?

KR, Dave

This has happened with aeotec sometimes, remove sensor and add it again - only solution.

Thankyou very much but this is not the Aeotec one it's the Fibaro eye sensor. Does that still go for this or not? What exactly is the issue? It's a bit worrying

If your motion sensor becomes temp. sensor try to change following parameters:

    - parameter 60 and 62 to 0

    - parameter 64 to 900

    - wake up interval 43200

Also try to increase interval of polling on all devices.

dw89 did this work for you?

I have 2 fibaro motion sensors with the same problem.

I have applied the settings j.nowacki gave to the top one and will see what happens when it wakes up to get reconfigured.

    Hi guys

    Halleluja...

Motion detectors disappears completely, or motion is turned into temp sensor, and so on.

Always had to restore from backup to get it back.

    Also tried to set

    - parameter 60 and 62 to 0

    - parameter 64 to 900

    - wake up interval 43200

    But didn't work.

But now the system has been 99.99 % stable.

And that happened after I turned off "Remote Access". And removed fibaro app from pads and phones, so they don't try to access the HC2 through local network.

Wakes up in the morning, and all the sensors are there!!!!

At least I can live with without remote until new firmware on my HC2.

    Both sensors still the same.

Will try remove and re-adding them when I get the chance.

    Scorpuk,

No, nothing worked for me either......I ended up having to do like you....i.e. deleting and re-adding to HC2.

Is this a bug please? I dearly hope this doesn't happen in an emergency situation otherwise the burglar isn't going to get noticed!
