Measurements from external source

Question

Posted

I get data by using this:

Please login or register to see this code.

The return is something like this:

Rain: 0.3

UV: 1.23

Wind: 23.0

WindVane: S

Temperature: 23.3

...

How can I save this data in separate global variables? It's probably possible with string patterns but I don't really understand what to do here.

Please login or register to see this code.

Thanks for any help!

If it returns JSON, decode the response.

And get the variable like rain uv win windvane and temperature.

Have you searched the forum about decoding yet?

Anyway for your convenience.

Please login or register to see this code.

Please try and get back here again. Might need you to show what does it return exactly.

It was not so easy since it isn't JSON.

For future reference here is the solution:
