I am struggling to find a Relay module in the HC2 interface. I have tried:

- adding it

- removing it

- cutting power and then powering it up again

It is physically sitting right beside 3 other Relay modules which are all visible in the HC2 interface so it should have nothing to do with proximity to the HC2 controller.

It is also definitely working as when I press the button on the module (during adding or removing the device) it opens a blind (as anticipated).

I have checked the event panel but unfortunately, despite the blind opening, the module does not register in the history.

Does anyone have an idea as to how I can find out the node id or discover it some other way?

When this happened, I normally go to advance and then click reconfigure the switch. If not working, I will use the routing table scene which you can find it here. After running it then the switch would be okay.

Chances are, the signal cannot get through in between your nodes so you may need to put in another switch between those switches, midway.

Here what I'm running. Parameter 1 means all nodes will check for neighbour nodes. You can input individual ID of the nodes instead of 1.

--[[

%% properties

%% globals

--]]

figaro:call(1,'requestNodeNeighborUpdate')

fibaro:debug('Rediscover all node ')

fibaro:sleep(5000)

Is module added/removed successfully? Are you executing all these operations from admin account?

it does not add or remove successfully. i am running from admin account.

i'll try and reconfigure (EDIT: Doh, I can't reconfigure it as I can't see it!) and also re-run the node script that "chatting" posted. I have a similar one of my own but I didn't think to try it.

    I'll keep you posted.

I ran the "rediscover node" script. Nothing changed.

I installed the (awesome) Toolkit that Krikroff wrote. Still can't find it.

I guess I'll have to remove the device and install another one and then decide what to do with the "faulty" module....

amilanov when you are adding/removing devices what exactly is happening? is any action visible in learning mode? Are devices in direct range of controller?

Nothing happens in the adding or removing dialogue box. The only thing that happens (at all) is as I push the little associate button on the relay module the blind actually opens.

As I said before there are 3 other relays sitting within less than 30cm from this one and my house has over 80 mains powered fibaro modules so the network can not (should not) be weak.

Also I ran the neighbour node update script and it didn’t have any impact, so I assume the module is just faulty.

I have had my electrician remove the module (just today) and install another module. I will put the relay in the box of faulty / dead modules to return to my supplier.

I have no doubt the new module will work just fine.

I understand, that there are many modules to route the signal, but to add device you need to be in direct range of HC.

I just checked and my electrician has already swapped them over. The new device added first time and is working just fine.

I’ll try and re-use the module somewhere closer to the HC2 in case it somehow has a shorter range than the replacement. If it still doesn’t add then I’m returning it.

    PS: both relays are v2.1
