Hi guys,

Have been playing with fibaro hc2 for a few months and do not really know what to do for now. Any interesting features for me to figure out or create? Getting bored with the basic functions.

Any feedbacks are welcome.

Hi,

Ive had my HC2 a month and I too am 'working out' all the features but if I had any honest thoughts it would be this:

1) If you can imagine it, it can pretty much be done and, therefore, your functionality is only limited by what you want it to do.

2) If its doing what you want then whats the problem?

No system is ever perfect but, to my mind, the HC2 does a lot of things very well. Sure there are glitches, sure there could (and probably will be) be improvements but it wipes the floor with the competition in lots of ways. If it does what you want, great, if it doesnt why dont you try to build something then share it? Thats how things get better and incorporated into software. If you're good at coding then Im sure you could and everyone would appreciate and use your efforts and the system gets better.... Like opensource I guess!

Dont leave. Think about how much some basic integration costs for other systems cost and how crap they are by comparison for the price! Its human nature to get bored....until we think of something else to do! Im pretty sure youve helped me since I started so thats one person who hopes you find something else to do with HC2 and dont get bored!

KR, Dave;)

i would love to find some time to see if hc2 can make use of the fritzbox api and thus use it to track phonecalls and use some other functions of the fritzbox as i also use the dect function with the fritzbox

Awesum modems btw i can recommend it to anyone.

My problem is time...

Everything worth having takes time and patience......that's why its good when you get there! Perseverence and all that.

My life motto: If it were easy, everyone would do it!

Sounds interesting, heard of Fritzbox but never used it....yet!

    Hi,

Thanks guys for the encouragement. In my honest opinion, having exposed to home automation for almost a year, no smart devices seem to have the wow factor to me anymore. Having so many smart devices on the market currently, something has to be done to integrate all these wonders into one. Firstly Fibaro will have to solve all of the current issues about the motion sensor and perhaps document their api and released it to us, allowing us to do more stuff with Fibaro.

    Just my 2 cents.
