LUA Concatenation/mathemcatical functions help

Question

Posted

I may be barking up the wrong tree, I don't know but I am trying to parse some information brought back from a serial command to an amplifier and I want to do various things.

One of these is to convert Hex to Number/String. Is there a function to do this in LUA?

I will get the volume number back in Hex and therefore to show the value on the virtual device I need to convert it. Any help much appreciated. If you just give me an example or the LUA call I will look at the rest.

KR, Dave

Hi

You could get an answer by searching on the web for hex to decimal lua.

Call this method when you want to convert.

Forgot to say Malvin, thanks for that. Will start looking at that next if the damn motion sensors stop wasting my time!

dw89, No problem. Seems like many users is struggling with the motion sensors. I personally have not got one to experience it yet.
