First two things:

- why a post that finishe with Error 417 in HTTP ?

- why on earth don't you use httpS ????

Some people from fibaro tell us about security, and you send data on the net without any protection ? WTF ?

I have a strong suspicion that a few of the arguments we get from Fibaro is more “convenient based”. Bottom line is everything is under development. The future is bright, but there is a long and bumpy road ahead to get there. I guess we all are along for the ride…

You use HTTPS when it's needed. Say that this is a poll for new version then why would it matter? Do not diss it before you know what it is...

In a modern world, everything must be encrypted. Why don't you suggest to Apple and Microsoft to push updates via insecure http?

It's debian linux. ssl wrapper (any kind of) - stunnel, whatever - will work just fine, about 5 minutes for FIbaro to implement the feature.
