Read out analog inputs of RGBW Controller via Home Center 2

Hi to all,

I'd like to connect a temperature sensor to the analogue inputs of the Fibaro RGBW Controller. For this, I'd like to ask if anybody has a LUA script or an idead, how this has to be done? Right now I've included the RGBW Controller into the Home Center and also get 5 Devices, which represent the RGBW controls. THe first step I've done is changing the type from "dimmer" to "other", but I don't see an option where I can change them to "analogue input". I've tried to search for similar questions in the forum, but didn't find a topic where it is descriped how to configure the controller and how to write a script for this.

Has anybody an idea how to do this?

Thanks a lot, best regards.

Hi,

You can add temperature sensor by changing RGBW "Controlled device" parameter to "Input/Output" (in advanced). Then "Choose input / output" menu opens, and there You can configure 4 inputs as temperature sensors. Mind that sensor voltage output must be between 0-10 V.

Best regards

Hi AndreOp, all you need to do is to set RGBW as input/output module and declare each channel as input. But please notice that only passive sensors work with our module. If you want to measure inside temperature the DS18B20 with e.g. D/W sensor will be much easier to use.

    Hello,

thanks for you qucik reply. When I first tried to configure the sensor, there wasn't an option to change to "Input/Output". When I then reloaded the properties, the item changed and now the "Input/Output" option is available and the sensor is working quite well (within the max. resolution of 0.1V).

In the next step I would like to include the RGBW Controller with a Z-Wave Stick to the openhab platform. Does anybody have experience with this, especially which command in the item configuration is needed to read out analogue inputs? And when I exclude the Controller from the network and reinclude it to another network, will the settings be saved? Like I've read, ist not possible at the moment to configure the RGBW Controller in the openhab/habmin plattform (lots of other Fibaro products have a good configuration support right now).

I hope somebody has a little bit experience with this issue, many thanks in advance.

    Best regards, Andre
