remote access after power shutdown

Question

Posted

Hi,

I had an issue yesterday, my Fibaro motion sensor fall down due to the poor sticker provided, it has trigered the tamper alarm and the whole alarm system. I wasn't at home, but my wife was. As she panicked due to the alarm and the lights on and off, she unplugged the HC2. Which stopped the alarm.

She plugged again the HC2, but since yesterday it's impossible to connect via remote access on a pc /iphone /ipad.

Any issue?

Hi magic_281, does local access work normally? Does your HC2 have internet connection? Please check if LED that inform about internet connection is glowing.

magic_281, have you checked if HC has internet connection in other way than checking diodes? Maybe check if data is downloaded to it correctly? I assume loging into home.fibaro.com goes well?

It works again.. don't know why!

I was ok by logging in on the interface home.fib... but was unable to click on the HC2 logo to log in to the box.

For me the problem is the opposite... i only have remote access straight after restarts of the HCL. Anyone seen this before or have information about how/what to fix?

Her is a description of my problem:

I just bought a fibaro HCL an various sensors and relays. Everything is working great.

But, i have a strange problem with remote access only working for about 10 minutes after every restart of the HCL.

I have of course registred an account on home.fibaro.com and i have logged inn on the iphone app. The app and direct login via the ip adress of the HCL works all the time when I am on internal wifi. But remote via home.fibaro.com and on the iphone app on 3G only works after an reastart.

After a restart of the HCL it works perfect for about 5-10 minutes. I can log inn and out both on the app on 3G and via home.fibaro.com as many times as I like. Everything is perfect but then suddenly (after about 10 minutes) it is impossible to connect remotely to my hcl. But on wifi (iphone app) and from a pc on the internal network it still works great.

I have the hcl connected straight to my router so no problem there.

I have tried both static and dhcp, and both my service providers dns and googles dns. Both work perfekt (for 10 minutes after restart) and then nothing.

What is remote access only working for 10 minutes after every restart?

and how can I fix it?

Please help so I can use my HCL remote witch is very important to me.

Hi, did you solve the issue? I am having exactly the same problem for long time without any luck. If you can, tell me what to do.
