Hi guys,

I'm working on setting up some indirect lighting in my kitchen, this is done by means of three ledstrips hidden in a recess along the edge of the ceiling:

But I'd like to add a bit more finess to the light, i.e. Being able to only turn on the middle segment when turning on at night. I want to achieve this by installing an RGBW Controller and then just use the R, G and B channels to operate the individual segments instead of the way it is working now (the common power supply connected via a fib plug).

Has anyone tested something similar? My initial guess is that it should work, but if someone knows something different, I might as well drop this idea and test something else.

It is possible, just make sure to not exceed maximum loads mentioned in manual.
