Curtain control

budda

Question

Have any of you got a good working z-wave curtain control system in place ?

I've seen the z-wave options, and Fibaro relay module was mentioned - although how will it know when it switch off like the blind control one does (i think?) ?

What options are people using to actually do the mechanical drawing of the curtain rail strings ?

I'm in the UK so any recommendations of things which might be available in the UK or Europe would be great.

I'm from Asia and I bought some Dooya curtain motors to fix with my fibaro roller shutter module and it works just fine.

Have you tried somfy?

  • I have the Forest Shuttle curtain rail with the optional z-wave module. Works perfectly!

Thanks for the suggestion! I found a supplier in the UK at

I'm assuming this works fine with the HC2 3.x firmware (beta?) right now and I wont need any alpha 4.x firmware ?

The white motor is a bit of a monstrosity hanging down at the end. Does the curtain cover that up or will I have to look at that all the time ?

From what i've read the Somfy product is USA based which runs on a different z-wave frequency. There was some talk about using RS232 to bridge over but i'd rather not.

    Thanks for the response.
