Turning on Bedroom lights gradually

Question

Posted

Hi, I'm a newbie to Fibaro and HC2, just got all my dimmers installed and would like to set up a simple scene but am having trouble with the graphic blocks. I'm trying to achieve something like this:

- weekday mornings, water heater turns on

- after 15 mins, a few of my bedroom dimmer lights come on to 30%

- after 15 mins, those lights go to 60%,

- 15 more mins, come up to 100%

I know this is probably very basic but I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to work. Any veterans out there mind giving me a few pointers?

Thanks!

Why do it in 30% increments? I have a scene which does it in 1% increments. It is much easier on the eyes. It is quite simple to do in Lua. If Malvin haven't already sorted you out, I can share the scene when I get back to my HC2.

Dalle1985, that wld be great. I didn't mean 30% was a fixed number, more of an example of what I want. Could you share your scene as well, I m trying to learn as much as I can abt lua so seeing more examples will def help. Thanks in advance!

Use the ones I send you in facebook. I've already added some extra lights for you.

Yeah I tested both but liked steve's method as it was very gradual and suited the bedroom more. Using your code for another part of the house to be triggered by motion sensor. Both works well!

Figured out how to add more lights as well so thanks to both of you!
