internal clock Homecenter is slow

Question

Posted

The internal clock of the homecenter is not updating itself to the appointed time server. If i save it, it does sync with the server but some while later the homecenter clock is behind. an average of one minute per month, until the save button is pressed again than is syncs with the online clock server.

Any Ideas?

hoogmolen, make sure to change ntp server to one that is dedicated to your country.

Why don't you fix this bug instead of suggesting to use lua code?

It is extremely serous and time drift for HC2 is very significant - in fact, ntp is either wrongly configured or not used at all

You need to change just one setting in debian ntp client settings (ntp.conf) - add "burst" to server...

j.nowacki, totally agree with shapa. Your solution works but temporarily

Krikroff, this solution is not final of course, but will keep time in sync until update comes out.

Is that how much Fibaro cares about customers?

Why not just make a hot fix update for this? Probably takes 5 minutes.

I would understand if the 4.0 is around the corner but not if we have to workaround every small bug for the next year because you are not willing to fix it before.

This behavior appears very arrogant to the customers, keep that in mind.

dawiinci, use Virtial device made by Krikroff

yes we cares but it is not 5minutes (wrote fix, marge fix, test it is working, is all package is working, made release) and that problem is not critical and when you use virtual device it solve sync problem

For me this is easy to do, but others might run into this problem and blame Fibaro for this without tinkering around.
