Remote Access takes too long on iPhone

Question

Posted

I have noticed that the Fibaro app takes too long to load on iPhone.

Local Access

Android - Time taken is 1-3 seconds

iOS - Time taken is 5-8 seconds

Remote Access

Android - Time taken is 1-3 seconds

iOS - Time taken is 18-25 seconds

After port forwarding the results are:

Android - Time taken is 1-3 seconds

iOS - Time taken is 12-18 seconds

Here the time taken by iOS devices for remote access too long.

Is there a fix to this as the waiting time is very annoying.

I TOTALLY agree with you. I have a samsung note 2 it loads within 2-4 seconds both remote and local... witch is perfect!

but on my iphone 5s it uses 2-4 seconds local but 15-20 remote.. really really slow.. there is something wrong with the iphone app... hoping for a solution real soon!

I can confirm this too, very slow, especially when using remote access via iOS. I used port forwarding for a while, with much quicker response, but there was still a couple of seconds lag.

It did not feel very good exposing the HC2 with open ports directly to the internet, so now I'm stuck with the slow remote access again.

Fibaro, can you fix this issue? I'm sure we're not alone.

iphone fibaro app updated to the latest guys?

in comparison - local access on the iPhone app takes too long also...

it removes the convenience factor when taking 5-8 seconds to load if you just want to quickly something whilst at home (i.e. light, tv, etc).

I basically gave up on remote access - ended up configuring Cisco on-demand vpn.

I have never heard that cpu speed has anything in common with loading data via web... If You check some games or apps there are thousands which work much better and faster on iPhone.

blame this on the cpu? come on!

i loads perfect with local access.. but uses 15-20 sec. on remote access on superfast 3G and 4G connection. my old samsung note 2 loads it in 2-3 seconds remote on the same 3G network. its something very wrong with the iphone app. please fix!
