Hello all,

We have an Alarm in our house and we simply throw out the status (on/off) and if it's breached or not to a Fibaro Relay switch 2x 1,5. When the alarm is turned on it will switch O1 to On, when its off it will switch O1 to off. When there is a breach it will turn switch O2 to On and when we deactivate the alarm we ofcourse put Switch O2 to off.

Now my question is, how can i use this then to let fibaro system know the alarm is on of off and that a breach is there or not?

tcviper,

Could you tell what inputs and outputs do you have in your alarm?

None, (since its 100% secure) they simply gave me 2 relays and the only thing i can see is If it's On or OFF and if alarm is Breached or not. I cannot sent commands to it, only read from it. So right now im using the relay switches to see if the alarm is on or off and if the alarm is breached or not.

The alarm system is Aritech ATS-1000A.

I only need fibaro to recognise it as an alarm, it doesnt have to control it.

i use a uni bin sensor for this

TCVIPER, how have you connected the FGS211 and how have you powered it?

akatar, how have you used a binary sensor to do it? you can only read info from the binary and not send to it right?

    Cheers guys!

i thought you have a real alarm with a relais.

example: open is alarm off, close is alarm on

connect uni bin sensor, make it a door sensor and connect it to that relais

so you can see in hc2 door open or door close (is alarm on/off)

if there is a second relais for alarm active you can connect second input to that relais and use it with fibaro alarm panel (i think)

    (uni bin uses dry inputs)

I dont understand the difference with your solution and what i have now? Cause it works as i did it, its just that HC2 doesnt see it as an alarm but just simple switches that go On or Off.

in hc2 you can add a uni bin as a door sensor, when youre alarm has a breach hc2 can see this as an alarm too

Ok, are you able to tell us how you should connect that device then? cause right now i have one 2x 1,5kw relay switch (fibaro) that does both the on/off status and breach.

Also I believe i switch 230V so im not sure if a binary sensor works for that

i don't understand why you have to switch 230v, but

a 230volt relais would do the trick for the dry inputs

But how have you set it up in HC2?

How do you tell HC2 that if ID97 is ON the ALARM should be ON aswell

if id97 is a uni bin sensor, you can tell that it's a door sensor.

    activate alarm in hc2

when youre alarm has "alarm" relais goes in, uni bin sensor get breached and hc2 gives alarm.

you can turn alarm on/off with hc2 (maybe)

with some alarms you can reprogram a zone, sometimes you can create a keyswitch to turn alarm on/off

if so, you can switch it on/off with fibaro
