Sorry, I misunderstood your question since this part of the forum is dedicated to mobile devices. For now, as you can see, we try to provide best possible experience especially on mobile devices, but any ideas from our users are important for us. If wide need for such program will appear, we do not exclude this direction of development.

There is a lot of request for a Windows Phone app! I hope Fibaro build this app. Maybe Fibaro can create a Windows Universal App, so the same app can run on Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 App Store. So you can use the same code base for both devices.

See more about universal app's :

Yes we really need something on the Windows platform. I hope they come through soon.

What about running the Android version on your Windows pc using Windroy or something like that. I see quite some positive response to the new Android app so it might be worth a shot!

I know the author wanted a windows pc app, but i wonder how many is "more requests"?

Do you count them somewhere, if yes, where?

Can you tell me how many requests you have at the moment?

Does the fact that you have 26 votes for windows phone app

Please login or register to see this link.

count for something (by the way, you completed two requests from the user voice that had 12 votes each?!?!?!)

Do you know that there is a user-contributed app in the windows mobile store (Fibaro Home Control - it is limited but I am still grateful that somebody NOT Fibaro, but somebody is looking out for windows phone users)?

Don't you think that the mere existence of such app in the store means that there is actually a demand for such app???

I really do not understand your priorities guys, i do not know what to expect from you. Will i ever be able to really use Fibaro from my phone? Should I continue to spend my money on you, or should I just look for something else? I guess you will not respond 'coz you don't give ETAs etc.

I apologize to the op for hijacking his thread, but the lack of proper support is just driving me nuts!

ivalentinov, creating such app is a big project and can not be done overnight. We do not count these request, when we see increasing demand in different matters we try to give it our attention. Right now creating updates consume great share of our workers' time and we do not want delay its premiere, however it stays noticed for future actions.

Are you using one and the same team for your iOS, Android, WEB and HC applications/systems? WOW you have one of a hell team there!!!

So if you see an increasing demand, please let me know...

BTW i have (and still am) worked with multiple international software companies as programmer for the past 10 years, so i know how much time such an application would require

Wow this thread is derailing fast. There are two things mixed up here:

    1. The OP is talking about a client for windows, which to me as a developer makes no sense, these days companies move to browser based solutions so that they don't need to build a client for each platform (windows, linux, mac). Nothing weird in the fact that Fibaro isn't going to build one on the spot.

    2. Then it got mixed up with a windows mobile client, which, given the fact that WM currently has a market share of 2.5% I'm guessing will not have a real priority for any software company that is busy improving the overall quality of their software.

    Be realistic guys, please...

    Ivalentinov,

what you think to do with a Windows app that you can not do with a Web one?

    I don't see any advantages

Yeap you might be right, i would gladly take a web app over windows mobile native app, but that is not an option as well at the moment.

I am sure that in a year or two there will be some way (app, web app, voodoo doll...) to control the HC with my phone!

I don't see it derailing but it might be, who knows.... As for being realistic, i am, i paid and now i want them to deliver - that is how the market works (or at least it should be). If a user can contribute an app (that does not work anymore after the upgrade but still it was nice) then Fibaro should be able to do it. If Plex (they don't charge you 500EUR for a box BTW) can have apps for Windows Metro, Windows Mobile, iOS, android AND web app then i think Fibaro can too - or am i wrong?!

I apologized to the op for hijacking his thread and i apologize again, at least i know where Fibaro stands on this now

I absolutely agree with Ivalentinov. I bought a Home Centre Light and I have a Nokia Lumia more then a year ago. When I bought it, I was promised full control of all my media devices. I have a LG smart TV and also a number of Sonos devices. The HCL was supposed to be able to control these according to the website more then a year ago. At the moment not even my Duewi devices are fully compatible with the HCL. This makes the HCL a terrible device for people with the devices I have.

I think making an app for all platforms should be a standard goal for all internet connected devices. And yes, even 'just' a webapp would be great. But putting a username and password in the URL???!!?? That's just not done.

Come on Fibaro. I'm very patient, but do something. Just saying that it will come somewhere in the future is not enough. We need a timeline/deadline. Or even just a alpha for Windows Phone. There are tools to port the apps to all platforms. At least work with developers and publish the full API of the system.
