Setting enum global variable using API

Hi All

I would like to set an enum global variable using API. I found many topics related to that but I never found any answer

This doesn't works

So what is the solution ? I would like to do it from a google script

I'm doing it using a put command. I haven't had any success with using the normal api entry as it is a get command and it apparently doesn't work. But I have had success with both jQuery.Ajax and cURL using put commands. Whether you can do that using google script, I don't know

I doubt there's a way to directly set a global variable value. Perhaps you could create a spare virtual device button to set a global variable value? Or a scene might work as well. You can then call the virtual device button or a scene via api.
