It's not unlikely that a new Home Center controller is around the corner, considering that the Lite version actually has some functions the deluxe version has (battery backup for example) and the face that the HC2 is around two years old.

I've also heard that there is a new Sigma chipset released that should be in this new version.

So, what are your expectations and when do you think it will be released?

I'm guessing a statement soon and release in december (a long with os 4.0), but I'm afraid it will be official at CES 2015.

Feature list guesses:

- GSM Module

- Battery backup

- New Sigma chipset

- Based on Intel NUC

- Smaller

- Support for IR recievers/transmitters

With "Rumours", are you saying that there are rumours, or that you are starting them?

I want to hear some rumours.

How much do you think that they will care about HC2 customers if HC3 is released?

Exactly...,please make the HC2 firmware work first.

HC2 is 2 years old, thats actually a long time in the technology world.

Besides HCL is a new product and works perfectly fins with the same hardware, so nothing says that HC2 will be abandoned.

I disagree, its not a smartphone. Its a dedicated piece of hardware for a special purpose. You don't throw away your settopbox / pvr / mediaplayer after 2 years because its 'old'
