Reef Tank

Hi!

Is there anyone using a home center 2 controlling their aquarium. I am setting up a reef tank and I am looking at different automation systems. There are several that are built for aquariums but I would like to control the LED lights and get the measurements of salt levels, temperature, PH etc.

I looked at a system called neptune APEX but it is kind of the same thing as the home center but for aquariums and i would prefer to have one system

I think that reef tank is such a delicate and complicated enviroment that you'll be better off with dedicated computer control system for saltwater aquariums. Any system failure for more than few hours, can kill your many tousand dollars worth of reef setup.

I personaly use german Profilux III plus for my 550 L reef tank. It controls custom made dimable LED light + T5 light bulbs, PH, redox, water top off, temperature with chiller and heater, control wave pumps and stream pumps, send SMS when there's an alarm and so much more. You get all aquarium info in form of charts. I use it for over 7 years without any issues (before i had profilux II and I for few years). It's "set it and forget it" kind of thing.

But now you made me think how to connect two systems together

Been Using Profilux III for more than 5 years

dedicated controller for your reef system is a Must !!!!!!
