Resetting HC2 to factory setting

Question

Posted

Dear Sir/Mss

I have upgraded my HC2 to firmware 3.907 beta and before this step I made a backup for my old firmware 3.59 which is the factory delivered one.

After I have downloaded the 3.907 beta a lot of inconvenience occurred for example all the mobile applications went crazy and a lot of devices shown as dead nodes although I have excluded them and included them again and also the slide bar for my dimmer disappeared

Anyway when I tried to restore my firmware 3.59 again all the backup data did not appear in the configuration panel table anymore, so I can not restore my home center again to the factory delivered firmware 3.59.

I have removed the recovery flash drive from HC2 and plugged it in my laptop and the old backup folder I am looking for was there, but the fact is that I do not know how to get it back as it does not appear in the configuration panel recovery table.

Would you please send me a brief steps to follow to fix this issue.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Just restore your HC2 via the buttons on the back. Hold in recovery button on the back of HC2 for about 2 seconds while plugging in the power and let it reboot. Then you will get to recovery screen at the same IP address you normally use. Then your backups will be back once restored.

jana shawky, backups are visible only from the version they were made from. Plug it back to the controller and perform recovery and updates to 3.590 then restore backup. Connecting USB drive to computer might have corrupted the data, if you encounter any problems please contact support team: [email protected] I am closing this topic, please post your concerns regarding new beta in proper thread.
