Fibaro and Logitech Harmony

Question

Posted

Finally Logitech have opened their arms to developer's. And they already have Smartthings support. Will Fibaro try to integrate to Harmony or will they spend another couple of years on their "fantastic" version 4?

What they neeed to do is a feature freeze (like someone else said on the forum) to be able to release a stable version with the current functions working properly. After that they can start adding more/new features, but for now Fibaro need to make a clever decision; Stop adding more features before we have a stable release!!

It's better to have a system with 5 functions that are working good and system is stable than 10 that are not working correctly and/or system is not stable.

This does not have to be a feature, they need to have an API or a plugin option (wich is coming). So if they have an API it can communicate with Harmony, Apple Homekit, IFTTT etc.

I also do not understand why they launch huge updates with changes on almost every level? Just focus on changing one thing at the time and push out a new release every month or so.

I have not tried the SmartThings box, and i have read that it is not all that good, like with most main smart house boxes. But they ssem to support major functions and any new popular once are integrated fast. Like Sonos for example, how long have Fibaro been working on it?

I think Fibaro started out with little or no knowledge and have built a system which has to be overhauled every-time they want to implement something new. The system is not built for expansion the way it should.
