Change sprinklers settings over LUA

Question

Posted

I want to change the setting i.e. weekdays from sprinklers-setup if it is cloudy today,

ie.e it should not activate the sprinklers today or If it is clear it should enable them if temperature is > 25%

also other config changes ...

has someone get this work with lua? I can't find a documentation about lua and sprinklers editing

Then you would need to dig deeper in the JSON parameters in the Sprinkler Panel...

For me that's good enough and my grass since has been really green and healthy

There is only one more think I want to add - i.ex. check if there was very dry weather for a few days and increase the length of watering automatically.

To customize your needs you'd better forget about the sprinkler panel and create your own lua scenes and virtual devices.

I solved my customization with a lua scene controlling temperature and soil humidity status through a flood sensor. The virtual device informs about last watering time and soil status.

Watering scene is triggered by Robmac's LUA Scheduler.

Install some good JSON browser and you will get something like that:

Please login or register to see this code.

Then with LUA in Virtual Device you ca read and write some of the parameters.
