Home/away block scene programming

Hey. I am new to the fibaro but have tested it with the fibaro HCL. Have now several dimmers, relays, wall switches, motion sensors and thermostats. Have build up several scenes and it is working OK. My problem is that I can not figure out how to do such a simple thing as makin two scenes that changes from home and away. When I am at home I would like my "normal" scens to run. But when I am away from home they should not run. Have tested a bit with variables but can not figure this out. Should not be to complicated. Hope someone can help me. Maybe with some examples.

Create one scene that will detect your arrival and set variable in it. In the other one clear variable when you leave your home. Now use that variable as condition for other scenes.

Thank you for your reply. I have now changed my scenes and put in the variable. But any tip how I can see if I am running the home or away scene. When I run the home scene I can not see this.

Mats Even, can you explain what you want to achieve? How do you want to visualize that scene is running? Maybe configure it to send push?

Hi. I want to be able to run the scene "away" when I am out of my house. So I want to see this as an icon changing. Like an "home" and "away" icon.

j.nowacki, oh, I thought you want to monitor your presence in the house with GPS and run scenes depending of that. So you want to have scene, that toggles state of variable between home and away (to use it in other scenes) and changes icon to let you know which state it is in?

I use virtual device to display my global variable for in office or out of office.

Hey. I still don`t figure out how to solve this. Enclosed I have made a screenshot of my Kitchen morning scene. What I want to do is that these scene only runs if I have told the home center that i am at home. Made some translations and arrows. How can I change the state of the variable from home to away so this scene does not run? I also want to be able to see what state my house are in. Home or away

Mats Even, I believe in your scene, you are using days of week, IF monday to friday at 06:10 and IF Home_Away variable is equals to Home, Turn on the Kitchen Scene.

Am I right to say that?

You can create a virtual device with 2 buttons - Home & Away. In your virtual device you can check if your Home_Away is Home, show icon 1001(home icon), if Home_Away is Away, show icon 1002(away icon)

You Home & Away button will contain codes to set the global variable to Home or Away.

I have now made the virtual device with two buttons. With icon for home/away. What code should I use to change my global variable from home to away. Is that the string to send?
