Hi all,

I'm using a momentary switch connected to the dry contact on the door / window sensor acting as a door bell. Whenever I tried to set parameter 3 (advanced setting) to momentary or normally open or any other parameter and saved the device, it still shows the default parameter value of normally close. How do i make the setting stick ?

Thanks.

Ok got it. It took a while before HC2 reflects the changes which is not nice.

Either wait for the Door / Window sensor to wake up and connect to the HC2, or alternatively, open up your Door / Window sensor and force the wake up by pressing the button a number of times.

You need to remember that the configuration of the sensor can only be done when the sensor is "awake". The time between wake ups is what you configure in the HC2 interface with the value "Wake up interval (s):" that you can see on the Advanced tab for the sensor.
