Run external script from virtual device

Question

Posted

So, I am using a linux server to add functionality to my Home Center. I am looking for a way to use a Virtal Device to execute a script (e.g. bash script) on the external server. Is this possible?

And; I have an HCL, so no LUA, I'm afraid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: so this could be achieved via a push from a virtual device to domoticz, but I'd rather just execute the script directly.

diderik, maybe set up an Apache server on your device and call cgi scripts from HCL? I did not test it, just a loose thought.
